City and Guilds Level 3 British Dog Groomers Association

My name is AJ and I am a City & Guilds fully qualified dog groomer who has been working with dogs since 1997 both in boarding kennels and grooming salons. I am a genuine dog lover having homed a number of rescue dogs over many years. I currently have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who was a breeding bitch rescued from a puppy farm and a Miniature Schnauzer who was found tied up and starved and handed in to the rescue. I am also a volunteer home checker for Many Tears Animal Rescue.

Rosie's Grooming Room was named in honour of a very special Miniature Schnauzer who is sadly no longer with us but never forgotten.

My salon is based on the Herefordshire/Shropshire borders to provide dog grooming services to Leominster, Ludlow and surrounding areas. I am fully qualified to City & Guilds 7763-03 Level 3 Diploma for Professional Dog Stylists. I have a commitment to Continued Professional Development with both City & Guilds and ICMG UK and regularly update my training including First Aid for pets. I am currently taking my International Certified Master Groomer exams.

I consider myself very lucky to have a job I love and enjoy regularly updating my training. I attend breed specific workshops and various seminars on a regular basis as well as one to one training days with some of the country’s top groomers. I also attend behaviour and training seminars using modern, positive reward based training methods to make your dog’s grooming a more comfortable experience.

My priority is to treat all dogs with kindness and respect. I like to give a personalised service to my clients and this in turn helps to build up a good relationship between the dog and the groomer, making the experience much more pleasurable for the dog.
